In recent years, Genexcel has been at the forefront of the introduction into Ireland of two new beef breeds :

 The Murray Grey from New Zealand

The Parthenais, a heavily muscled French breed

Team Veterinary Surgeon, James Quinn MRCVS, has specialised in bovine reproduction for the past ten years and worked in the groups that produced the first E.T calves  in the world of pre-determined sex in 1993 (Animal Biotechnology Cambridge Ltd) and the first calf from O.P.U. / I.V.F. in New Zealand in 1994 (New Zealand Animal Breeding Services Ltd).

Genexcel's Department of Agriculture approved embryo collection team carries out cattle embryo recovery and transfer nationwide, trades in bovine semen and embryos and provides reproductive training ( A.I and E.T.) for cattle breeders and veterinary surgeons.
